夜晚，路燈下的貝拉庫拉港、裝卸碼頭上。

    裝卸場在一個臺階下面。在項目經(jīng)理格登和工頭鮑勃的指揮下，工人們將一個個箱子從卡車上搬下，運送到碼頭前堆放，準備裝船。

    碼頭旁邊的停車場，幾輛小車開來，戴安、菲爾、辛笛兒、雪麗等人下車，跑下臺階，進入裝卸場。

    格登和鮑勃看見他們，上前來阻攔。

    格登：Hey, hey, hey! Just stay out of the w area! (喂喂喂，你們不許到工作地段來！)

    眾人沒有理會格登和鮑勃，走進碼頭工作地段，攔在中間。工人們工作不便，只好停止搬運。

    格登拿出手機撥打：Please send a group of security guards here. Some uified people are blog our work. (請派一個保安小組過來。一些不明身份的人阻礙了我們的工作。)

    幾名保安跑步過來。

    保安甲：Please leave at ohis is private property and yoursquo;re not allowed to trespass. (請馬上離開。這是私人財產(chǎn)，你們不得進入。)

    戴安：Sir, do you know what they are doing Theyrsquoing to log the Great Bear Rai. They are destroying our precious natural legacy! Just think about it. (先生，你知道他們要去干什么嗎？他們要去砍伐大熊雨林。他們在破壞我們寶貴的自然遺產(chǎn)！好好想想吧。)

    保安貼近眾人，逼迫眾人離開。

    眾人停步。保安貼近他們站住，不再進逼，也不離去。

    工人們繼續(xù)搬運箱子。

    雪麗扭頭張望。她旁邊是一個花圃臺子。她轉(zhuǎn)身跳上臺子。保安追過來，伸手要抓她。

    雪麗指著保安：Donrsquo;t touch me! Otherwise Irsquo;m gonna sue you. (別碰我！否則我要告你！)

    保安收手，站在臺子下，守著雪麗。

    雪麗高聲：My dear friends, just think about a big family. Mom was breeding, feeding and proteg the brothers and sisters. At the beginning, the siblings were getting along well and the big family was living in harmony and happinesshellip;(親愛的朋友們，請想象一個大家庭。母親養(yǎng)育和保護著家里的兄弟姐妹們。開始的時候，兄弟姐妹們相親相愛，大家庭生活和睦、幸福美滿hellip;hellip;)

    隨著雪麗的演講，人們仿佛看到了美麗而安詳?shù)脑忌謍ellip;hellip;

    工人們停下搬運，站在原地聽雪麗演講。

    雪麗高聲：But one day, the biggest brother thought that he deserved better food and a more fortable house. He started to take food from his younger brothers and sisters. And then he destroyed the houses of his siblings and took the struaterials to build himself a larger aer house. Some of the brothers and sisters died and some fledhellip;(但有一天，大哥認為他應(yīng)該吃得更好，要住一棟更舒適的房屋。他開始搶弟弟meimei的飯吃，接著拆毀他們的房屋，用那些建筑材料將自己的房子修得更大更好。結(jié)果使得兄弟姐妹逃的逃、死的死hellip;hellip;)

    人們的頭腦中出現(xiàn)：森林采伐，鳥獸受驚消散，非洲荒漠化的凄涼景象。

    西岸雨林保護會的成員和辛笛兒朝雪麗圍攏過來，保安和工人們也都圍攏過來。人人聚精會神地聽雪麗演講。戴安和菲爾頻頻點頭。格登在后面氣得直跺腳。

    鮑勃問格登：Whatrsquo;re we gonna do (我們怎么辦？)

    雪麗高聲：The biggest brother was happy and thought he could live his happy life forever by himself and without his brothers and sister. But Mom became angry and deprived him of everything. He ended up living in starvation and poverty, living on bad food and in poor sheltershellip;(大哥非常高興，以為沒了兄弟姐妹，他一個人可以永遠過上這樣的幸福生活?？墒?，母親生氣了，剝奪了他的一切。結(jié)果他只能生活在饑餓和貧困當中，吃著劣質(zhì)食物、住著破草房hellip;hellip;)

    人們的頭腦中出現(xiàn)：干旱、洪水、泥石流、地震等地質(zhì)災(zāi)害、受災(zāi)的人們。

    戴安對菲爾小聲：Now I know what you meant by saying you have a good persuader.rdquo;(現(xiàn)在我明白，你說你們有一個演說家rdquo;是什么意思了。)

    雪麗高聲：Mom is our Earth, and the brothers and sisters are the white Spirit Bears and other species living in the Great Bear Rai, which gives them food and houses. Now, I am asking you: Who is the biggest brother ?C the bad guy (母親就是我們的地球，而兄弟姐妹就是生活在大熊雨林里的雪熊和其他生物，雨林給它們提供了食物和住所?，F(xiàn)在，我問你們，誰是那個大哥――那個壞蛋？)

    工人們低頭思索。保安們也低下了頭。

    菲爾跳上花圃臺子，站在雪麗的身邊。

    菲爾：We human beings are the bad guy! And what you are doing now is to rob food from your brothers and sisters, arug the houses of your brothers and sisters! (我們?nèi)祟惥褪沁@個壞蛋！而你們現(xiàn)在要做的，就是去搶我們兄弟姐妹的糧食，去拆毀我們兄弟姐妹的房屋！)
